About Dr Thomas Ludwig

Dr Thomas Ludwig is the Principal Scientist, Digital Innovation at Danone Nutricia Research. He joined Danone Nutricia Research in 2009 with a focus on Gut Biology, Paediatric Gastroenterology and Precise Nutrition.

Dr Ludwig was educated at the University of Munster and, prior to joining Danone Nutricia Research, he conducted research in cellular and molecular physiology at Yale University. He is a member of the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and

Nutrition and the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and has published more than 50 scientific articles, reviews and chapters on digestive physiology, biophysics and molecular biology.

Dr Ludwig’s recent area of specialisation is the impact of colic, functional constipation and regurgitation during infancy on families and health care systems.
